Hi Claire
Good old muddy! It's always nice to have a head clearing walk along its edge.
I too have a Dyson. I've had it around 8 years. With three indoor cats, you can imagine what it picks up, and it does it better than anything, without spilling bits of fine dirt back into the room, as you are well aware.
Amelia's TARDIS is awesome and it is fabulous that they enjoy the programme. It is so family friendly as I don't think I've ever heard a blue word out of the mouths of any character in decades of watching.
Stay well, stay strong.
Cheers

Hi Claire
Sorry things haven't been the best, but this week must be picking up! Congrats to your lad on his achievement. I reckon I'd be dead after 100 metres!
Your pouch idea is awesome and I hope it works out really well for you and your friend.
I'm cutting up fabric at the moment to make Emma and Pam Jansen's Liberty Stars quilt. I'm going to a retreat in June and I think this will be my project. I've decided to make a large queen size, so there is lots of cutting to do! Instead of getting the metreage that was suggested in the pattern, I've gone through my stash - seeing its all fabric from Emma's shop, Ballarat Patchwork - and selected about 32 fat 1/4s for the stars, and I bought 5.8 metres of white on white for the background. It all has to be chopped up into little squares that are then cut into triangles. Lots and lots of cutting going on here. I have to take a break after a bit as the arthritis in my hands makes long sessions too uncomfortable.
Anyway, have fun with your new project.
Cheers

Hi Claire
I love my iphone. I've had all sorts of mobiles, but as phones seem to get smarter, I seem to have become dumber. The iphone was just so easy to use and Instagram is a great way of sharing a few pics.
Enjoy!

I am curious how you used the Pythagorean theorem to figure out material use. Can you send me an example of your calcuations? I am trying to learn this method of measuring and am one of those see, read ,do kind of learners then when I have mastered it I would like to apply it ideas of my own, Thanks Mary

Hi Claire
My three flew the coop years ago, but recently my husband gave up his job for the frightening prospect of self employment, which meant I am now The Girly in the Office (at almost 53, that sounds ridiculous!).
So, apart from when he hits the road to visit clients and the potential ones, I am never alone 24/7, and to boot, my crafting time has gone from all the time I wanted to zilch! Damn!
Still, it is really nice to have him around and he's really happy. I just have to get used to the transition.
Your activities sound like they were fun for the kids. I have four granddaughters and I know that my DIL loves to keep the older three very busy with all sorts of activities. If they aren't out and about, she has them doing crafty activities or just plain Playing Outside, which seems so underrated these days.
Monday is back to normal for you. Enjoy. And make sure that next week you can get out for some quiet 'me' time with some mates. The quiet of the house will not be good for you all at once. I know.
