Exciting School Mornings

We have had two exciting school mornings this week – starting with a bang on Monday.

Rory received a “Student Achievement Award” at Monday morning assembly in front of the whole school.  It was a big surprise for him, but Luke and I had been warned so that we could make sure we both attended – it was a pretty big deal.  His certificate says “Rory always aims high and puts 100% into his work.  He is frequently challenging himself and is achieving amazing results due to his commitment to producing high quality work, in all areas, but particularly reading and writing.”

We are so proud of him – Well done Rory!

This morning the excitement was centered around a Multicultural Day at school for the Grades 3’s and 4’s.  Amelia had to go in a national costume and take a plate of food, from that culture, to share.

Brie on Baguette anyone?

Here is the photo that we didn’t quite pull of – the one with Lotta in the picture.

She did not want to have her picture taken – or perhaps it was just the way Amelia was holding her.

  1. well done to rory for his student award…. I am still waiting for No 2 to get hers this year.

and Madamoseille Amelia looks very tres bon!

  2. love the pic of Rory. he has a similar look about him that my son gets when in front of a crowd, doing something slightly out of his comfort zone. A similar story happened for my son not so long ago too. I got the call from the teacher to say that he was student of the week and being awarded in front of the entire school. Aghhh, it makes you proud. best of luck with the move.
