Any other Melbournites feel a tremor just before 9pm?
The bookcases were rattling and the kids were calling out – “our beds are shaking”.
Wonder if it has anything to do with the Volcano errupting in Indonesia, that I found when I went to breaking news on The ABC Breaking News website.

Definitely. How scary – the first tremor I can remember experiencing. Husband and I were straight onto Facebook and Twitter, which is a hilarious (but very sad!) sign of the times. Our kids were (grrr) still up, and paid no attention whatsoever.
3 floors up 7k north of cbd – my bed shook & the earth moved! Shame I’m alone really…
Lucky I went home when I did. Mind you, I came home to a cyclone warning…
we felt the eathquake here too!! i was sitting on the couch with my laptop surfing the blogs 🙂
the girls thought a helicopter had flown really low over the house.
i missed the last one we had many years ago. lucky it was such a mild one
My kids came running out of their beds, asking what it was! I was sitting on the couch stitching and the whole house vibrated! Thank god it was only for a few seconds.
This is my first time comment at your blog.
